Class Descriptions
- Aerial Angels (Special Needs 3 yr. -up)
This class is designed for individuals with intellectual and physical challenges. Besides being fun and healthy, our special needs program help build self-esteem, self-confidence, and physical fitness in a caring and fun environment.
- Mommy and Me (18 Months - 3 yr. olds)
Join our expert staff as they help your child develop fine motor skills, with body and spatial awareness activities. There will be lots of running, jumping, smiling and laughing while your child conquers many fun obstacles. This is a class where you as a parent can be part of your child's physical development.
- Preschool (3 & 4 yr. olds)
This program has a specifically developed curriculum that emphasizes skills and exercise which will aid in your child's growth, physical and mental development. In this class students will learn the basics of gymnastics, tumbling and trampoline. Which includes rolls, swinging on the bars, walking on the beam, and much more! Participants will develop self-confidence, good motor coordination and self-discipline in a fun, safe and positive environment.
- Girls Mini Mite (4 & 5 yr. olds)
This class will begin to work more on skills and work on all 4 of the events. More emphasis will be put on body positions and beginning skills such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, backbends, beginning vault and bar drills, walking, rolling and jumping on balance beam.
- Boys Mini Mite (4 - 6 yr. olds)
This class will begin to work more on skills and work on all of the boys events. Emphasis will be beginning skills such as rolls, handstands, headstands, beginning vault drills, swinging on high bar, pbars and rings, and introduction to the pommel horse.
- Girls Recreational (5 - 14 yr. olds)
- Level 1
- Designed for the novice rec. gymnast, students will learn gymnastics basic terminology, beginning skills on all 4 Olympic events, enjoy additional time on our trampoline, and much more! Focus will be on beginning skills such as:
- Vault: Running, Jumping on board, Sticking
- Bars: Pullover, Casts, Back hip circle, Glides
- Beam: Releve forward walk, Backward walk, Stretch jump, Arabesque
- Floor: Teeter Totter, Back roll, Cartwheel, Start working on handstands
- Level 2
- Designed for the intermediate rec. gymnast, students will continue to work more skills on all 4 Olympic events, enjoy additional time on our trampoline, and much more! Focus will be on intermediate skills such as:
- Vault: Running, Arm circle, Handstand to back
- Bars: Pull over, Back hip circle, Glides, Stride support
- Beam: Tuck jump, Teater totter, Horizontal kicks, Side handstand dismount
- Floor: Handstand to lunge, Round-off, Back roll to push up, Snap turn
- Level 3
- Designed for the rec. advanced, students will learn gymnastics basic terminology, beginning skills on all 4 Olympic events, enjoy additional time on our trampoline, and much more! Focus will be on beginning skills such as:
- Vault: Handstand to flatback on big mat
- Bars: Shoot through, Mill circle, Back hip circle shoot out, Front hip circle
- Beam: Handstand, Split jump, Snap turn, Level 4 dismount
- Floor: Handstand Fwd. Roll, Round-off, Back bend kickover, Back roll to push up
- Boys Recreational (5 - 14 yr. olds)
- Level 1
- This class will begin to work more on skills and work on all of the boys events. More emphasis will be put on body positions and beginning skills such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, beginning vault drills, swinging on high bar, pbars and rings, and introduction to the pommel horse.
Level 2
- This class will begin to work more on skills and work on all of the boys events. More emphasis will be put on body positions and intermediate skills such as round offs, handstands, back rolls, beginning vault drills, swinging on high bar, pbars and rings, and introduction to the pommel horse.
- Cheer Tumbling (5 - 18 yr. olds)
- Beginner
- Beginner tumbling classes work on basic tumbling skills, such as Fwd. rolls, Bwd. rolls, Handstands, Cartwheels, and begin working back handsprings. They also spend some time at the end of class working on correct technique for jumps.
- Intermediate
- Intermediate tumbling classes work on tumbling skills, such as Round offs, Back handsprings, Round off back handsprings, and beginning drills for tucks. They also spend some time at the end of class working on correct technique for jumps.
- Advanced
- Advance tumbling classes work on tumbling skills, such as Round-off Backhandsprings, Round-off 2 backhandsprings, Standing tucks, Front handsprings, Front tucks, and more! They also spend some time at the end of class working on correct technique for jumps.
